Talent, Enablement & AdvisoryAI Strategy, Governance & Compliance
Figure out where AI can make a difference and who's accountable.
Leadership is asking for an AI plan, teams are already using AI, and sooner or later someone will ask who approved it. We build the roadmap and business case, the rules for approving and monitoring AI, and the readiness for laws like the EU AI Act.

Where You Start Depends on Where You Are
Most teams come to us at one of five points, from having no plan to having AI spread across teams faster than anyone can steer it. What you need is different at each one.
You're exploring AI opportunities and deciding where to start
Leadership may be asking about AI with very little written down, every team may have its own experiment, and nobody may be able to say which one matters. Our AI Opportunity & Roadmap Sprint programme ranks your ideas on value, effort, data and risk, then gives you a costed roadmap and a business case a board can read.
You're already using AI and want a clear approach to governance
People may be using AI at work in their own way, there may be no policy or owner, and nobody may be checking what it does. Our AI Governance Framework Sprint programme sets decision rights, a written policy, a risk register and the points where a person reviews the AI.
A regulator or a customer is asking
A questionnaire you’re filling out may need your AI policy, a law may apply to a system you’ve built, and you may not know which rules cover which of your systems. Our Regulatory Readiness Assessment programme maps the rules to your systems, finds the gaps and ranks the fixes.
A project has stalled
It may have worked in the demo and never reached users, or reached users and gone quiet, and nobody may agree on why. Our AI Programme Recovery Review programme gives you the reason in plain language and a decision to fix it, shrink it or stop.
AI is spreading across teams and decisions keep arriving
Each team may be starting its own way, leaders may be weighing vendor pitches with no independent view, and the same work may be getting done twice. Our AI Centre of Excellence Design programme sets how AI is organised across the company, while our Executive AI Advisory Retainer puts a senior advisor in the room as decisions come up.
What We Do
Strategy, governance and compliance cover six different jobs, and most companies need two or three of them. Here's what each covers.
| Capability | What it covers | Where you start |
|---|---|---|
| Finding where AI will pay off | List where AI could help, rank each idea on value, effort, data readiness and risk, and build a costed, sequenced roadmap with a business case that holds up when your finance team reads it. | AI Opportunity & Roadmap Sprint: 2–3 weeks, $18K–$30K. |
| Writing the rules for AI | Set who may approve an AI use, what has to be checked before launch, the written policy, a register of known risks and the points where a person can review or override the system. | AI Governance Framework Sprint: 3–4 weeks, $25K–$45K. |
| Getting ready for AI regulation | Map which laws apply to which of your systems, including the EU AI Act, US state AI laws and ISO/IEC 42001, find the gaps and plan the fixes. We help you prepare, and we don't certify you. | Regulatory Readiness Assessment: 3–4 weeks, $28K–$50K. |
| Organising AI across the company | Design how AI is run internally: who sits where, which standards apply, how new ideas are taken in and how the value is measured. | AI Centre of Excellence Design: 4–6 weeks, $40K–$70K. |
| Rescuing a stalled project | Find out why an AI project stopped, in plain language, and decide what to fix, shrink or stop, with a costed way forward. | AI Programme Recovery Review: 2–3 weeks, $22K–$40K. |
| Senior advice as decisions arise | A senior advisor on call for AI decisions as they come up, including an independent review of vendor proposals. | Executive AI Advisory Retainer: $6K–$20K a month. |
Our AI Strategy, Governance and Compliance service covers the plan and the rules. Building what the plan calls for is on the AI Engineering pages, proving the result holds up is AI Quality Engineering & Evals, and teaching your people is AI Training & Capability Enablement. Each has its own page.
What We Build On
Strategy and governance work doesn't rest on tools in the way engineering does, so here's what we work from. These are the frameworks and documents you'll see in the work.
- Rules and standards
- EU AI Act
- US state AI laws
- ISO/IEC 42001
- Documents you receive
- Roadmap and business case
- AI policy
- Risk register
- Decision rights and approval gates
- Human oversight design

Fair Questions
AI governance is the set of rules for how AI is approved, used and watched inside a company. In practice it means deciding who may approve an AI use, what must be checked before launch, what the written policy says, which risks are on a register and where a person can review or override the system. Our AI Governance Framework Sprint (3 to 4 weeks, $25K to $45K) builds those pieces and writes them so your teams can follow them.
Not always. A small, low-stakes pilot can teach you a lot, and waiting for a perfect plan costs time. A strategy matters once you have several pilots competing for the same budget and people, or once a pilot could affect customers or regulation. Our AI Opportunity & Roadmap Sprint (2 to 3 weeks, $18K to $30K) ranks your ideas, costs them and gives you a sequence, so each pilot is chosen on purpose.
Yes, it can. The Act applies to AI systems placed on the EU market and to systems whose output is used in the EU, wherever the company is based. It has applied in stages since 2024, and the EU has since formally delayed the high-risk obligations to 2 December 2027, or 2 August 2028 for AI built into regulated products. Our Regulatory Readiness Assessment (3 to 4 weeks, $28K to $50K) maps which of your systems the rules touch and what to fix first. We help you prepare, and we don’t certify you.
The EU AI Act is a law, with obligations that depend on how risky an AI system is. ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard for running an AI management system, and it’s voluntary. Following the standard can help you show good practice, and it doesn’t on its own prove you comply with the law. Our Regulatory Readiness Assessment covers both, including US state AI laws.
If you use a few off-the-shelf AI tools for low-stakes work, a one-page acceptable-use policy and a named owner can be enough. You may also not need one if you have a mature risk function that can absorb AI, or if no regulator or customer is asking. A strategy without a budget and an executive owner changes nothing, so we’ll say so before you start.
Tell Us the Decision in Front of You and We'll Tell You What to Do First
Two to three weeks, a fixed price and a written roadmap: where AI will pay off for you, what it costs, what to do first and who answers for it. If you only need a short policy and an owner, that's the answer, and you'll have spent a call finding out.
